I have a head cannon that Parmak's glasses are technologically advanced and overlaying helpful read-outs onto whatever he's looking at like telling him a patient's blood pressure and heart rate and other useful data. Also they adjust in thickness, turning into reading glasses when he looks at something close - kind of like how a camera automatically knows how to focus.
