i want people to know i am in no way being facetious when i say nog is one of my favorite trek characters, like i genuinely relate to him so much and i truly believe he encapsulates what makes trek’s character work so meaningful.

like he’s treated for 3 seasons as comic relief and then we get this moment of sincerity where he expresses how trapped he feels by his own cultural expectations and how he knows he can be more? then you ½ expect him to flunk out but he works so hard, goes through so much, and becomes this genuinely incredible officer!? AH I LOVE NOG!! someone let me on their star trek podcast so i can talk incessantly about nog please
