I want the story on Mavek, the Cardassian who handed Kira her raktajino every morning during the Dominion occupation of Deep Space Nine.
I find it surprising that Kira trusted him enough to accept a drink from him. Was she not worried about poisoning? Maybe she thought her position and/or Dukat’s obsession with her would keep her safe. It is curious tho.
And also, why did Mavek start getting her coffee? Did he just decide one day to be kind??? Is he maybe a dissident sympathizer? Is he trying to ingratiate himself in case Kira attempts a coup? Or is it more insidious? Mental warfare in the form of a constant small reminder that Kira is working with the Cardassians now instead of against them? I want to believe he means well, though. Just because it makes me happier.
