A PSA: choosing not to have casual sex, not wanting casual sex, and/or not enjoying casual sex does not make you less ‘liberated’ than a person who enjoys hooking up with people. equating a desire for casual sex with empowerment and liberation is just a shitty thing men came up with to convince more women to sleep with them. quantifying how ‘empowered’ a woman is through how much sex she has with men (because women having sex with women is never validated unless it’s also fetishized) is just archaic misogyny (and homophobia) adapted for the social justice lexicon
