Problematic faves don’t get a pass. Either everyone abides by the same rules, or no one does. Sexual assault has no party affiliation: Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Bill O’Reilly, Louis CK, Bill Clinton, Johnny Depp, Anthony Weiner, and too many others on the left and right. Please don’t make the mistake of covering for the “good guys” on “our side.” Please don’t fall into that trap.

That said—and without making excuses—one of these things is not like the others. Men like Roy Moore and Donald Trump should have been investigated, arrested and put on trail a long time ago.
