I want all of you to know that on November 7th, 2017, America elected not one, but seven openly transgender candidates into public office, most notably Danica Loem, who ran against and BEAT Virginia’s self-proclaimed “chief homophobe” to become the nation’s first openly trans state representative. 

There is still hope, people.
