The lack of international coverage is OUTRAGEOUS!

This judicial decision, if not reverted, puts the lives of millions of LGBT+ minors in danger.

Brazil is an extremely religious country. Even now, when this kind of conversion therapy is still illegal, there are christian psychologists and therapists that go against said law and provide this kind of hurtful treatment to religious parents.

The legalisation of said treatments is a violation of the human rights of LGBT+ people in Brazil, especially minors.

I am scared, we are scared. And it’s scary how the rest of the world is ignoring what is going on, as if our lives and integrity meant nothing. There is simply a lack of coverage outside of the country, I couldn’t find a single source in english to redirect you to.

Legalising it might mean the legalisation of horrifying  and inhuman (and uneffective) treatment towards LGBT+ people, especially LGBT+ youth, and yet we can’t get enough coverage even from international non-governmental organizations that are focused on defending human rights.
