Nikki Joly works for the American Red Cross and persistently defends LGBT rights as the Director of the Jackson Pride Center in Michigan.

During the summer of 2017, despite fear mongering by local bigoted conservatives, Nikki defiantly and persistently organized Jackson’s very first LGBTQ pride march.  On August 5, 2017, the parade commenced and was supported by many locals including St. John’s United Church of Christ of Jackson, Michigan.

Tragically, last night, just 5 days after Nikki led the march, his entire 2 story home was burned in an act of arson.  Nikki lost his home, all of his belongings, and his beloved 5 pets, including 2 german shepherds and 3 cats in the fire.  While the Jackson and State Police departments, Nikki is left in dire need of financial assistance.  This is a hate crime that was premeditated and destructively heartbreaking beyond measure.
