Mom has been given the green to return to work on light duty to see if she can maintain the activity level necessary for her job. Which is wonderful.
Unfortunately her first day of work won’t be until the tenth of July. Two weeks from now. And the bank account is empty. Absolutely empty. We managed to scrape by for six months on Mom’s tax return but between bills, groceries, and the co-pay at the doctor offices that has been wiped out. Which is really, really, REALLY bad because we have some big bills coming up, the gas tank is edging close to empty, AND the air conditioner is broken.
We live in Florida.
I can not express to you all just how miserably, horribly, disgustingly hot it gets even inside the house. Even with all the windows open and fans galore it’s hellish.
If it was just business as usual then I’d suffer in silence and scrape pennies together to save up to fix the AC. But with Mom’s health the way it is, we seriously need to keep the temperature comfortable for her. Too hot or cold and Mom’s progress could be shot to oblivion.
So help me get a clarion call for help out there PLEASE.
