my favorite conspiracy theory is the one where news sites accidentally leak their election stories early and people are like IT’S RIGGED!!!!!!!! because they can’t fathom that The Media Cover-Up is literally just some exhausted dude pressing “post” instead of “save draft”
I didn’t hear about it happening but I’m sure at least one news outlet accidentally posted a story about the Indians winning the World Series at some point between games 5 and 7, which means absolutely nothing except that it was a likely outcome so they wrote up their shit in advance
