Good to see Baltimore on here for something good for once.
This needs to be in schools EVERYWHERE!!! I can’t tell you how many sententious and suspensions are given to children of color which does absolutely nothing but makes the situation worse. This is a great alternative!
this would’ve been so good for me as a kid. nearly all of my behavior problems were autistic meltdowns. just a few minutes of quiet to process inputs and emotions would’ve set me back on track every time.
edit: not trying to derail from the concerns about black kids getting a raw deal in schools. just saying this method would be helpful for disabled kids as well.
