autism is a complex, hereditary neurodevelopmental disability
it is, quite literally, a difference in a person’s brain
it isn’t some actual THING like a virus or infection
autism is the name for a difference in a person’s brain as seen when they meet a list of basic criteria
you can’t change the structure of a person’s brain without fundamentally altering core aspects of what makes the person who they are
aside from that the physical altering of someone’s brain itself is unrealistic and dangerous
in addition, autism isn’t something like depression, which is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain
