coffeeforblood-deactivated20190: You're answer to the question about voting sorta sounds like you plan to vote for who you dislike the least. Is that really the best thing to do? If you don't agree with them, why vote for them? Isn't there a better option?

In a presidential election, that’s usually the choice I have to make. In primary and local elections, I almost always get to vote for candidates who I feel excited about, who I believe will represent me.
I believe our current system is flawed. Money needs to be taken out of politics. An instant-runoff system would be much better, I think, and breaking the two-party hold on national politics is vital to preserving any kind of citizen-focused government.
But I also know that we’re not going to see those changes in the near future, and sitting out elections because I don’t like the system is like complaining that I’m hungry and then refusing to eat because I can’t get exactly what I want.
