But this is true. At this point misogyny is so internalized that if a woman hasn’t experienced catcalls we start to wonder what’s wrong with us. Since men insist it’s a compliment we start to feel unattractive when it’s never happened to us. 

Needing feminism because of internalized misogyny is a valid reason. Especially when you are aware of the problem but it doesn’t stop the feeling of being inadequate.
