A guy I went to film school with who’s now a producer is keeping track of the way female characters are introduced in every script he reads. (To protect the writers’ anonymity he’s changed every character name to Jane.) Here’s a quick selection so far.
the most important thing about any given female character is whether the male writer/presumed male audience would bang her and why
