I guess it’s hot out. But I didn’t need the cricket to tell me that.
The formula is, at least according to the Library of Congress, is to count the number of chirps in 15 seconds and add 37 to get the temperature in F.
I’m struggling to count this guy but it’s cooling off so soon I should be able to. I mean, it feels like 4 chirps per second, for sure.
Is this true? This is the most wonderful piece of information ever to lighten my life, brb off to count cicada chirps!
