Allium giganteum is in the family Alliaceae. Commonly known as giant onion, it is native to southern Asia. While not used for culinary purposes, this species is considered one of the largest ornamental onions, growing up to 4 feet tall and produces a large globe of flowers. These flowers can come in a variety of colors, but most common are shades of pinks and purples. The flowers, while being a fabulous display in the garden, also attract many pollinators, such as butterflies and bees.

→ things: cryptozoology and the unknown

Cryptozoology is the field of study concerned with creatures whose existences are questionable by the standards of mainstream biology.  Prominent examples of such cryptids include Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, and the Yeti.  Cryptozoologists may also look for creatures that definitely once existed but are currently considered extinct.  The search for cryptids can be distinguished from more mainstream processes of animal discovery by the willingness of cryptozoologists to use anecdotes and folklore as sources for their investigations.  X

then it’s not universally healthy and it’s not for everyone
