“Any resistance  – the threat of force displayed in massive protests… or any displacement of state power whatsoever – by those lower on the hierarchy upon those higher is met with brutal repression. This is why cops are always present at protests. It is NOT to “Keep the peace.” We have seen their “peace"  –  tear gas, rubber and wooden bullets, mace, riot gear, sound cannons, and thousands of brutal cops leaving dead bodies. They are not there for peace, but rather to maintain at all times the explicit reminder of America’s power hierarchy through the brutalization of black and brown bodies above all others.”

we saw a lady walking around with two phones earlier and she explained that her husband was putting the baby to bed tonight so she was on Pokemon hunting duty for both of them. that’s relationship goals if I’ve ever seen it

My husband’s boss has this rule that he is not allowed to kick out customers no matter how late it is. If they come in like five mins before close, my husband has to deal with them until they decide to leave. And it is SO. Frustrating. Because he should have been home a half an hour ago, but I bet you there are some assholes holding him up. This is the one fucking day this week that he could have made it home before 8pm, but nooooooo. Because tomorrow and Friday, he’s working in the other town, and the travel time won’t allow him to get home before 8pm even if he were to get out on time. But today he is like ten minutes away! Ugh. It’s like part of the reason we moved here was so he could be closer to work and now he still has to spend two days in Other Town and even on the days when he’s working here, he doesn’t get home until more than an hour after close. I just get tired bc I start expecting him so my brain is stuck in waiting mode and I HATE IT! I wish I could turn it off.

and you know what? i’ve never in my life had the urge to say slurs not directed at other racial groups. like ever. I’ve never had any desire to say anti-what the fuck ever slurs because…why would I? and i mean i was young with this same mentality it, those words didn’t interest me. so like what is it with you non black freaks want to say nigger all the time. like bet if i said “yo whats up my *insert racial slur*” you would be upset but yet you want me to be okay with you saying “what up my nigga” or any variation of that slur. so i’m like wondering why you feel like you have the authority to say it

YES OMFG

I’ve had various friends from different races who reclaimed slurs, yet I had no desire to use them.
I always thought it was a common sense thing to know NEVER to use slurs for other races.
I honestly don’t understand how people can know how serious slurs are, but still use them?? It doesn’t matter if someone gives you permission either. People have given me permission and I always thought that was ridiculous af. How hard is it to not use them?

right. Like my attitude was always that those words could hurt someone and why would I go of my way to hurt someone?

Well… the rains gotta stop somewhere

Oh my god, someone has footage of it! I remember one time my dad, lil brother, and I were leaving a Ryan’s. We were waiting for a chance to hop onto the road and in the distance we just saw everything turn grey. We saw it come closer and closer and come to find out it was rain!

It was just a wall of rain - the end of the rain, really. I’ve never seen it again, but it’s so cool to see footage of the edge of rain!

In new mexico and Arizona you see this all the time, because it’s just flat desert. When I was little on my way to utah, we would drive one the hwy for hours, and run into a storm, and in about 15 minutes we would drive right to the end of it. And from afar you can see the rain in the sky, just falling. It’s serene and beautiful
