Apparently, you can have a shootout with police and be arrested alive — if you’re white.
After an hourslong standoff with police, an armed suspect who fired at officers was arrested Monday evening, KABC reported. The man, who was arrested at the Hyland Motel in Brea, California, shot at officers through the door.
The man barricaded himself while the SWAT team remained outside of the motel. No police officers were injured during the incident; the man was shot with “less lethal” bean bags and tackled by SWAT members.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The use of “less lethal” bean bags begs one obvious question.
