^^^ stuff I wish I was told at the beginning of 6th grade (especially the last two because when I found out I like girls I had no idea what the LGBT+ community was and I thought I was a freak and now I’m questioning my gender as fuck)

These are things I wish I knew when I first started high school. I wouldn’t have had the worst four years of my life if I had someone tell me stuff like this. I wouldn’t have been friends with or dated certain people if I knew I could just drop them. Please. Don’t do things because everyone else is. That could lead to something dangerous. And know who you are. Know that your feelings are true and real and no one else can change them.

My husband swears he saw a bat in the basement. Now, he is terrified of bats, so I went down to put his clothes in the dryer. But I didn’t see a bat at all. It isn’t that large of a basement, but it does connect to all the neighboring basements in the complex. So I think the bat is either hiding in our basement or it’s gone off to one of the others. Anyway I doubt it will bother us. It’s probably been down there for ages, and we never noticed. Might turn out that I’m stuck doing all the laundry, but I do most of it anyway.

Can I say that I’m a trifle disappointed that I didn’t get to see it? I just hope the cat doesn’t try to go after it. She’s not exactly a skilled hunter.

UPDATE: There was a bat.

It came right up and flew around the livingroom. So I was a bit frightened as well I have say. Quite an adrenaline rush. So I go to open the doors, hoping it will fly out, but then I don’t see it anymore. I shut the doors bc the last thing I need is more of them getting in. Went looking for the bat. Turned out the cat had chased it upstairs. So now I have to gently coax it out of the bathroom and back downstairs. I opened the back door, but the damb thing missed it like four times. I opened the front, and it took a couple tries and a bit of encouragement, but it made it out unharmed.

I have shut and locked both doors, and I really truly hope there aren’t any more bats.

Now, I am having a beer.

Honestly I wonder how many women would have “grown out” of being tomboys if we had literally ever seen adult butch women on TV or in a movie or read about one. We occasionally get the little girl character who likes playing in the mud or catching bugs (which, don’t get me wrong, is great) but nothing after childhood. It’s like girls are being told, “we’ll tolerate this for a little while but eventually you have to be consumable.”

The standing rock tribe are being silenced about what is going on up there with the Dakota access pipe line.

I beg of you to help me get the topic out. It will affect millions of lives. The pipe will leave into the tribes only source of drinking water. We are trying so hard to get this out on twitter and facebook, but we are being silenced.

Today a security team came into the middle of a peaceful native american protest and numerous people got maced and bitten by the dogs. 

I want you all to take a look at the terror on these young girls faces. Then I want you to take a look at the two aggressive dogs. When did it become OK to use dogs against children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters OUR freakin people!!!
The police will only let a dog go if the suspect runs or the suspect is violent and causes a threat to the public of the officer.
Do you see a weapon in these young girls hands? Do these girls look dangerous? The answer would be no. No they don’t.
The people with the dogs aren’t even police officers! They are security guards. They couldn’t even keep control of their own dogs leading to them being attacked also.

Most of you won’t even bat an eyelid at my posts, others will be annoyed because of my constant posting.This is happening right this second and threatening millions of lives. I have to help.
We can only break the silence if you join us in this fight. Just sharing my post helps the reality of the situation get out there.
