In both cases, the gunman shot the men, both of whom were on foot, then exited his car and “shot them to death,” according to the bulletin. In both murders, the suspect was wearing dark clothes, including possibly a tactical vest, and carrying a 9-mm handgun. Video shows the man driving a red, four-door “small, older sedan with shiny rims,” the bulletin says.
A national ballistics database has connected the two killings, the bulletin says.
Baton Rouge detectives have urged neighboring law enforcement agencies to help them search for the man, whom they described as a white man, about 5-foot-9, medium build, with a close “military-style” haircut. While both victims were black, Dunnam said there is no evidence to say the killings are racially motivated.
So it appears that a white man wearing dark clothes, a tactical vest, and a military haircut murdered two black men who were walking on the street in Baton Rouge.
I wouldn’t call these “random” killings.

it occasionally occurs to me that pretty much all sj issues can be summed up as “don’t hurt people” with a sidenote of “you can hurt people on accident, but they’re still hurt so apologize and learn from it”
basically at the core of it, it’s similar to “if you bump into a stranger, apologize and try not to do it again”. And people not only debate it, but some go out of their way to bump into strangers and scream “Awww are you hurt?! are you crying!! did I upset you!!” as a weird hobby

there is a difference between language that sugarcoats and language that is specifically designed to not hurt groups of people who are targeted all the time
