If your argument against gun control goes like this “what if a bad guy has a gun I need one to defend myself” then you’re already stating that a gun is a threat to the safety of those nearby. You’re tickling your ego by thinking you with your gun will be faster and smarter than the bad guy and frankly my life is not worth testing out your bullshit attitude. You already know guns are bad, you just think you with a gun is better. If they shoot you or you shoot them that’s the same number of people killed. You still believe guns are dangerous you just wanna feel cool idk what to tell you champ just stop sniffing the glue.

I know Airbnb is not a dating service and in fact one of my greatest fears about it is that there are people out there trying to use it that way but also, call me hypocritical, I DO think if you’re a beautiful farmer with 3 big dogs who’s smiling handsomely in his Airbnb profile picture and you hand-built a sexy treehouse on your land for guests and you conspicuously don’t mention a significant other and use the word “I” rather than “we” as in “My house is across the field” or “I am happy to recommend activities and hiking routes nearby” or “You are welcome to help my staff and I milk our cows – children really enjoy this!”, i DO think, in that case, that it would be courteous to indicate whether you are open to falling in love with a very sad woman while teaching her how to work the land, idk, just seems polite.

Random linguistic observation #137: in American English, depending on the tone, expression and posture with which it’s delivered, the word “yeah” can mean any of:

  • That is correct.
  • I approve.
  • I don’t care.
  • I am skeptical.
  • I wasn’t listening.
  • I agree to your proposal.
  • I require additional information.
  • I support you in this undertaking.
  • I didn’t tell you because I thought it was obvious.
  • I recognise the truth of your words, but fail to see their relevance.
  • I am a sapient jug of fruit punch.
