THIS GUY WAS HITTING ON ME AND MAKING ME SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE, SO I TOLD HIM I HAVE A BOYFRIEND (because he seemed like one of those guys who, whilst they don’t respect women, they do respect another man’s “claim” on a woman) AND HE WAS LIKE “PROVE IT; SHOW ME A PICTURE” SO I SHOWED HIM THE BACKGROUND ON MY MOBILE AND HE BELIEVED ME

THIS IS MY MOBILE BACKGROUND:

I TOLD HIM IT WAS A PICTURE OF MY BOYFRIEND IN COSTUME FOR A PLAY. THANK YOU OSCAR WILDE FOR GETTING THAT FUCKBOY TO LEAVE.

What a time to be alive…

oscar wilde would be on board for this

Every Sunday since Hurricane Maria ripped through Puerto Rico, Ada Reyes and her four children have walked half an hour to church. Down a winding road, dodging fallen trees and debris, they walk past cement houses still bearing flood marks, and finally cross the Vivi — a small river in Utuado, a city in the central mountain region.

The Iglesia Cristiana Monte Olivar church is small: one room, with a few rows of chairs all facing two podiums up front. There are about 30 people, all standing when we arrive. Two associate pastors offer a prayer and members pray over each other, some in tears and embracing each other as they pray.

It’s been a hard few weeks in Utuado. Many roads nearby are still too dangerous to drive because of heavy flooding and strewn debris. Schools remain closed. Businesses that are open, including a Walgreen’s and an AutoZone, are powered by generators and have long lines and full parking lots seeding traffic jams.

People here are about to start their third week without electricity or water. Nearly 90 percent of the island is still without power.

A 3 year old disabled girl, Sherin Mathews is currently missing in Austin Texas after her father forced her to go outside in a dark alley at 3 am for not drinking her milk

If anyone has seen this poor baby please contact your local law enforcement immediately. Some people do not deserve to have children, and unfortunately thousands of children have to suffer because of shitty parenting.

The father was arrested but he was released on a $25,000 bail. This story pisses me off so much, what can a 3 year old do that’s SO bad they deserve to be left alone in the dark. People are terrible.

Her parents didn’t even contact the police until HOURS after they knew she was missing. Something ain’t right. I hope dearly this little baby is okay. NO CHILD deserves this.

So I was notified via email that in order to vote in the 2018 primaries, I had to register my party affiliation, in my home state….by OCY 13TH

Holy shit guys. Please find out ur state’s voting rules and OH MY GOD PLEASE DO IT BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT. WE HAVE TO BEAT THE CONSERVATIVES IF WE WANT TO HAVE ANY MEANS OF OPPOSING TRUMP.

Voting abroad should still be similar to ur state’s rules, please….google is ur friend.

Holy shit please take ten min to google what to do and register.

To vote in the 2017 Virginia elections, you have to register and have your info up-to-date by October 16, 2017.

You want to make a difference? You vote in off years. Non-presidential elections. And you vote on all of the elections. It will take you a few minutes on your state board of elections website to figure out the issues, candidates, and where to get the info.

VOTE. Please.

And this year in Virginia, it’s a big election. Our governor cannot run again for reelection, and we’re up against a scary ‘I was Trump before Trump was Trump’ republican and a more insidious, Pence-style republican. You want people to stand up to Trump and create laws that support the local population? This is it. This is when it matters.

Vote.

Here’s how to check which district you’re in and who your rep is.

Here’s how to find out if you’re registered.

Here are the deadlines for when to register.

Here’s how to register, if it turns out you’re not.

Here’s how to find local polling places.

Tag it with “voting reference” and you’ll always be able to find it again.

Veterans Ask Native Elders For Forgiveness At Standing Rock.

I never thought I would see this day when a white man apologizes for the tyranny and oppression of Native American population. This is so powerful. This is the nation that I want - responsible, compassionate and that learns from its mistakes.

God bless them!

Bringing this back in honor of Indigenous People’s Day
