reading a fic where someone mentioned in the notes that corned beef was, well, corned beef instead of ???? Tinned mince meat????
This is clearly some sort of “I live in a different place than the author” thing, but where I come from (central Canada) corned beef is seasoned (and smoked? Salted? I’m not sure) beef. You pick it up fresh at the deli or maybe in bags with the other sandwich meat.
What’s it like where you live? Where on earth does it come in TINS?
my first thought was this stuff. It’s found at most grocery stores in the U.S. This is corned beef minced and mixed with cubed potato. Fry it up and eat it with eggs.
I also found this, which I don’t think I’ve ever had. Guessing it’s sorta like spam.
ID. a first-person video of a person spraying their houseplants with a spray bottle. a long-haired, long-nosed dog (a borzoi?) with silky white fur with orange patches comes into frame, licking at the spray nozzle. the person turns and gently sprays into the dog’s mouth, and the dog drinks it. they try to continue spraying another plant but the dog noses in again. the audio is just spray bottle sounds and licking noises.
