there is no nonbinary “look”. everyone on this planet “looks nonbinary”
and i mean that. not just in some “you dont know what that person’s agab is!” or “maybe they’re still waiting to transition?” but that everyone looks nonbinary because there is no countable number of ways that nonbinary people look or want to look.
nonbinary people can look, can want to look, can be happy to look, be ambivalent of their look, however they look. here’s some nonbinary looks: lumberjack, bikini model, businessman, Cinderella, prince charming, tshirt and jeans, every member of the scooby gang, any random person you saw today. nonbinary people dont have to look androgynous and can look highly binary gendered if they want. or dont care to. or whatever, no explanation needed. not just out of being closeted or anything, but because they’re wearing the clothes they want.
nonbinary people don’t have to conform to this new 3rd gender role expectation, and be “so fashion” or like split their presentation down the middle or do it so far outside of the box. or care about it. nonbinary people can care about their looks, or not. i dont really, besides how people dont read me as nonbinary or worries that because of all this, that im like faking or not trying or whatever.
this was supposed to be like a short little like “shout out to the people like me, just really boring nonbinary dressers, and to others: stop making things weird” but oops
