ive had to learn this the hard way, but ppl often prefer apologies without an explanation unless they’ve specifically asked for it, bc often ppl get too caught up in their own explanation and defense that the sincerity of their apology gets lost. most ppl don’t want to hear why a b c made u do x y z. ppl want to hear u own ur mistakes, without making it abt urself when apologising. tht shows ur putting their upset first and not revolving it around u
