@thatstonergirluk holy shit I just read most of the Wikipedia article. I definitely see parallels with Woodstock 99. Sounds utterly terrifying

Am I the only one who saw similarities between Woodstock 99 and Astroworld?!?
Ohh and the fact the documentary didn’t even mention the three people who lost their lives at there!!
No justice for anyone

@natesyournive goddd oh no XD And yes omg the women being groped and assaulted and Scher just going “Well they put their breasts out there. Nothing I can do.” 😡 I don’t think the festival goers were even people to him, or to any of them

@tirlaeyn third ep was just…..honestly the worst lol, you can see that these men do not give a shit about the people at the festival (and the women, oh my god that stuff made me so upset ðŸ˜). So many things went wrong that they should have not done it, or at least cancelled it night one. Plus the creators/ppl running the festival seemed to not see how chaotic it was, was just bs

@natesyournive I still haven’t watched the third episode, so Im just 😬😬 How could this get? Worse? But then I think about the logistics of getting everyone out of there 😶😶

@natesyournive They really are!!! How do you sit there and say everything is great when you know it isn’t? The minute they considered putting the thing on a military base, they should have quit. And I hate that the one guy who did the first Woodstock just refused to push back on anything?? Like, buddy! This is supposed to be your show? But Scher is the worst. He should have been washed out of show business. He should be ashamed, but he isn’t.
tirlaeyn said:
@ladopa I agree they should have quit after the first day
tirlaeyn said:
@ladopa Yes the security and the sanitation and the food vendors charging wildly exorbitant prices
ladopa said:
@tirlaeyn Right! It just kept getting worse and worse. They truly should have ended it after the 1st day. And I totally agree how disgusting it was that they pretended everything was fine and tried to, in a way, gaslight everyone.
The film did say Greed was a big part. They prob skipped so many steps to save money, like not getting actual Security people and not keeping things clean. The morals of everyone just disappeared.

@ladopa Every single decision they made was the wrong decision. It is a bit mind breaking that they could get that many things wrong. And to have Scher sitting there spewing excuses for everything that was his fault is sickening. Imo the management is at the top of the list of blame. Everything else cascaded down into something far worse than it needed to be. What is shocking, to me, is how badly the whole thing was planned and executed.

@tirlaeyn I saw it. I’m not surprised how it went down. You get that many people together theres going to be problems, then you add in drugs and alcohol it gets way worst. Also, the bad management that allowed and enabled such behavior. Truly how else did they think it would go. What happened wasn’t right but it wasn’t suprising.
