  2. the-cat-under-telperion said: You all English native speakers can’t get the pronunciation of the vowels in my name to save your life, but I’ve never considered that to be racist. Granted, some people are so used to the privilege of only having to know one language that don’t make the slightest effort with foreign sounds, and that’s irritating. But if you give it your best shot and you still fail it’s ok! Heaven knows it took me 3 years to get the pronunciation of a couple of Arabic consonants right.
