  19. januarydivide said: @rebellum yeah!! It’s one of my favorite things about LOTR and the Hobbit: in both stories, the books are supposed to have been written by the characters. Bilbo wrote The Hobbit as a chronicle of his adventure to the Lonely Mountain, and Frodo wrote most of the Lord of the Rings in the Red Book of Westmarch, which Tolkien discusses “discovering” and translating from Westron in one of the appendices. :D
