  29. am-i-blanchin said: the movie was based on a true DID patient and then put to extremes. i highly doubt that everyone walking out of the theater is thinking “wow gotta stay away from those DID people. don’t want them turning into a rabid beast trying to kill me.” it’s a movie for entertainment. i don’t think it was right to put DIDin such a terrible/terrifying light, but hollywood does this with /every/ mental illness. they never accurately represent disorders because it’s for entertainment purposes for ableists
